Magosfa was founded in 2003. Through developing ecotourism the Foundation aims to contribute to the protection of local values, to the renewal of settlements and local society as well as to introduce the possibilities of a more sustainable lifestyle to local residents, students and visitors by means of environmental education in the regions of Börzsöny Hills and Danube Bend.
WHAT ARE OUR GOALS?
• To educate young generations for sustainability, to strengthen their environmental and value-saving consciousness. Our aim is to develop and promote new educational methods and tools at national and international levels, as well as to operate an exemplary forest-school.
• To initiate improvements that ensure the preservation and development of values, are based on real social needs and serve the long term interest of local communities and succeeding genera-tions as well as economical sustainability.
• To perform activities where three basic principles - professional competency, community needs/involvement (including voluntary work) and sustainability - predominate at the same time.
